Baked Salmon with Parmesan Crust is a very quick and easy dinner to put on the table in less than 20 minutes, and its healthy too! With garlic, chopped parsley, and parmesan, this delicious salmon will become a favorite in your dinner rotation.

We LOVE salmon and have more delicious salmon recipes you might enjoy including Lemon Garlic Salmon, Baked Salmon in Foil with Honey Lime Sauce, Easy Foil Baked Pesto Salmon, Honey Garlic Salmon and Coconut Salmon with Roasted Kale and Rice.

This salmon with parmesan crust is such an easy delicious dinner that you can have on the table in less than 20 minutes.

The crust is a mixture of minced garlic, chopped parsley, and shredded parmesan. You will cook the salmon until the crust is browned slightly. The salmon will be flaky inside with a slightly crunchy crust - perfect combination of textures.

We eat salmon at least twice per week. So glad I now have this parmesan crusted salmon in the rotation.

Ingredients you will need:

  1. Salmon Filet - 1.5-2 lb size
  2. Minced Garlic
  3. Chopped Parsley
  4. Shredded Parmesan Cheese

How to Make Salmon with Parmesan Crust?

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place salmon filet, skin side down on lined baking sheet. Cover salmon with another piece of parchment paper.
  3. Bake salmon for 10 minutes. While cooking, in a small bowl, mix up garlic, parmesan and parsley.
  4. Remove from oven and remove top piece of parchment paper. Scoop garlic parmesan parsley mixture onto filet and spread out to cover salmon filet.
  5. Return salmon filet to oven and let cook for about another 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted and salmon flakes easily with a fork. The parmesan crust should be slightly browned.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

What to serve with this herb crusted salmon dish?

We have a few side dish ideas here that would work well with this salmon including:

  1. Easy Sautéed Spinach
  2. Sauteed Zucchini and Onions
  3. Mushroom Cauliflower Rice with Spinach
  4. Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Tips for this salmon with parmesan crust:

  1. Make sure to follow the step where you cover the salmon filet with parchment paper. This helps keep the salmon moist while baking and cooks the salmon to a flaky texture which is a perfect complement to the parmesan herb crust on top.
  2. I made this recipe with a 1.5 pound filet. The herb crust topping mixture was perfect for this size. You might want to increase the crust ingredients a little if your filet is closer to 2 lbs.
  3. At the end of the cooking time, remember to check to see with your fork if the salmon is flaky on the inside.
