Easy chocolate fudge recipe with 3 ingredients including semi sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and marshmallows. SO simple to whip up and beyond delicious!

If you enjoy chocolate desserts, we have definitely got you covered here.  A few of our favorites include Chocolate Chip cookies with peanut butter chips, Rocky Road Brownies, Mocha Cheesecake Brownies, and Mint Chocolate Chip Brownies.

Chocolate fudge recipe with peanut butter chips.

This truly perfect fudge recipe is everything I want my chocolate fudge to be....rich, smooth, creamy, soft, and not too dense.

Love, love, love this fudge recipe.  The secret ingredient....mini marshmallows.

Two cups of mini marshmallows to be exact.  Marshmallows add a certain lightness and creaminess to the texture.

Chocolate Fudge Recipe with peanut butter chips on top.

This chocolate fudge is a great base for turning it into whatever version of chocolate fudge you'd like.  I added peanut butter chips in the fudge, as well as for a topping.

Inside the fudge, the chips melted a touch to add creamy peanut buttery goodness inside, and on top, the chips added a nice variety to the textures of the fudge.

Peanut butter chips are a good way to go if you're looking for a peanut butter fudge recipe.

Pieces of fudge on a white plate from an easy fudge recipe.

Tips for this easy fudge recipe:

  1. Ideas for add ins to the chocolate fudge base include:
    1. mini m&ms
    2. white chocolate chips
    3. walnuts
    4. pecans
    5. sprinkle chopped candy canes on top
  2. For peanut butter or white chocolate chip add ins, be sure to stir them in after you have taken the fudge out of the microwave.  Its nice to see swirls of the chocolate in the middle of your fudge rather than completely melting in with the semi sweet chips.

Hope you enjoy this yummy fudge too!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line a 8x8 pan with aluminum foil.  Spray the foil with cooking spray.  Set pan aside.

  2. In large microwaveable bowl, add in chocolate chips, marshmallows, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt.

  3. Cook in microwave for 45 seconds. Continue to cook for 45 second increments until, the fudge is smooth when stirring. Stir vanilla into smooth fudge mixture.
  4. Stir in any add-ins to the mixture.

  5. Pour fudge mixture into prepared pan and smooth out the top.  Sprinkle add-ins on top, if desired.  Cover pan with plastic wrap, tightly wrapped on top of pan.

  6. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.  After 1 hour, you can cut it, but it will still be bit soft.  After 2 hours, it will most likely have reached the perfect fudge consistency.  ENJOY!!

Does this fudge need to stay refrigerated after the initial cooling?

I used this recipe to make peanut butter fudge by using Reese chips instead of chocolate. Wonderful !

Really really good flavor. I had only 1 12-oz bag of chocolate chips so all I changed was adding only 1 tbsp butter. Everything else was the same. So good! It tastes like I stood aver a pot with a candy thermometer for a long time!
