These Marshmallow Peanut Butter Squares are so unique and absolutely delicious.

This no bake recipe contains only four ingredients including mini marshmallows, butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and unsalted butter.  The ingredients mix together to form a delicious candy.

They are definitely on the sweet side, but the 1 cup of peanut butter really helps to create a nice sweet/savory balance.

Can you freeze marshmallow peanut butter squares?

Yes, absolutely!  Freezing the squares helps them to not stick to the pan, and they remain just as tasty!

How to make marshmallow peanut butter squares?

Honestly, they're super easy.  Yay!  In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, butterscotch chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly.   Once smooth, remove from heat, and let mixture cool for 30 minutes, then stir in marshmallows.  Spread mixture in a 9x13 pan.  See further details in recipe card below.

I think these treats would be perfect wrapped up in cellophane with a bow for Christmas gifts or Halloween treats because they are so eye catching, unique and, of course, delicious.

Tips:

  1. Be sure to cool the peanut butter mixture for about 30 minutes before stirring in the marshmallows, as the marshmallows will melt if they are stirred into a hot mixture.  You would lose the texture that makes these so delish.
