  • 2 cups warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 6 tbsp salted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted for painting on top of rolls

  1. In a stand mixer with dough attachment, add warm milk, sugar and yeast.  Mix for 10 seconds to combine.  Let sit for 5 minutes, or until it starts to foam.

  2. Add in salt, butter, eggs and 5 ½ cups flour.  Mix on low speed, until well combined.  Add in ½ cup flour.  At medium speed, knead the dough with the dough hook for about 5 minutes, until the dough just barely pulls away from the sides of the bowl.  Dough should be slightly sticky.

  3. Move the dough to a lightly greased mixing bowl and cover with a towel.  Allow the dough to rise for 90 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.  Cover the bottom of two 9x13 pans with parchment paper and create 5 rows of 3 rolls in each pan.  Cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for an hour.

  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and cook for 12-14 minutes, until lightly browned on top.  Brush the melted butter on top of rolls.  Let the rolls cool in pan for at least 15 minutes, before removing.  Serve and enjoy!  Store in an airtight bag to preserve freshness.
