Chocolate peanut butter pie....beyond delicious.
Creamy chocolate and peanut butter on top of a homemade oreo cookie crust, topped with homemade whipped cream, oh my goodness.
As I have mentioned before, peanut butter and chocolate together is one of my favorite flavors, hands down. This pie is a perfect example of the perfection of the chocolate/peanut butter combination.
Tips for this chocolate peanut butter pie with oreo crust:
- When crushing the oreos for your crust, remember to use the whole oreo, including the cream filled center.
- Do not overmix the whipped cream. Once the stiff peaks form, you can stop mixing.
- Be sure to stir the chocolate layer mixture occasionally while you're mixing the peanut butter layer and whipped cream. The chocolate could turn to a fudge consistency if not stirred occasionally.
- If you do not have a food processor or choose not to use it, simply place the oreos with the cream filling in a large ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. This works just as well and is fun (a bit of a stress reliever - like punching a punching bag).
- Make sure you use a 9 inch pie pan. You will need every inch of it. There's nothing worse than having too much delicious pie filling for your pie pan. Agreed?
This is a very rich pie, so the good news is, a little goes a long way. The not so good news is, its so good, about an hour or so later, you might find yourself slicing up another small rich piece. This chocolate peanut butter pie is worth it.
Enjoy!

Chocolate peanut butter pie
This No Bake chocolate peanut butter pie recipe with homemade oreo crust has earned a spot on our favorite dessert recipes list. SO, SO good.
Ingredients
- 25 Oreo Cookies
- 6 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 oz semi sweet baking chocolate
- 3 tsp vanilla, divided
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
-
Crush the oreos in a plastic bag with a rolling pin or in a food processor. You can crush the whole oreo, cream and all. Mix the oreo crumbs with the melted butter. Once thoroughly mixed, press oreo mixture into a 9 inch pie plate and chill in the fridge until ready to fill.
-
Melt the semi sweet baking chocolate in a bowl in the microwave between 1-2 minutes. Check every 30 seconds and stir. You do not want it to burn.
-
Stir in half of the sweetened condensed milk can to the melted chocolate mixture. Let sit for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
In another bowl, stir the other half of the sweetened condensed milk can with the peanut butter and one teaspoon vanilla. Stir mixture until smooth.
-
With your stand mixer, whip the whipping cream on high speed, adding in the powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla while mixing until stiff peaks form.
-
Fold one cup of the freshly whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture. Use a spatula to combine. You want the mixture to remain light. (Stirring the cream too much will cause it to be too dense.) Pour the peanut butter mixture into the oreo crust.

-
Top the chocolate layer with the remaining homemade whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips. You can use a zester and a chocolate bar for fine shavings or a cheese grater for larger shavings.
-
Chill for a minimum of 4 hours, preferably overnight. The texture really comes together when chilled overnight. With 4 hours of chill time, its still a bit creamy.
