Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe with White Chocolate Chips and Pecans
This homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe with white chocolate chips and pecans is crispy on the top and soft on the inside. This is an easy recipe for a delicious cookie with lots of goodies inside.
Ingredients
- 2 cups plus 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 12 tbsp melted butter, cooled but still slightly warm
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg plus 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup toasted pecan pieces
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
-
In a stand mixer, mix the butter and sugars together, until thoroughly mixed. Beat in the egg, extra yolk, and vanilla, until well combined.
-
With the mixer on low speed, slowly add in the dry ingredients, and mix, just until combined. Do not overmix. Stir in the semi sweet chips, white chips, and toasted pecans.
-
Roll in the dough into 1 ½ tbsp size balls. For a rough look on top of the cookie, with your fingers, gently pull apart the dough ball, then turn the two halves upwards so that the "rough" side will be the top of the cookie. Combine the two halves and place on cookie sheet.
-
Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes, until lightly golden brown on top and still puffy in the center. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on baking sheet, the move to wire rack for further cooling. Enjoy these morsels of goodness!
